Renovating a Shared Restroom for Seven Families
A student-led effort to improve sanitation and restore dignity for seven households living near Ararat Hotel, Lamberet, Addis Ababa.

Why We Started This Campaign
We're a group of graduating students who wanted to make a real difference, even in a small way. Near Ararat Hotel, Lamberet, seven households depend on a single shared restroom that has been in poor condition for a long time.
A Serious Health Concern
The restroom's condition began to affect everyday life. Sewage leaks and damage made it unsafe to use, and this was especially hard on pregnant women and children. It was not just uncomfortable. It became a real concern for health, safety, and basic dignity.
What We've Managed So Far
Thanks to the generosity of supporters, we were able to begin work. However, the funds raised were unfortunately far below the amount required for a full renovation.
With the limited budget, we decided to carry out minor renovations on another shared latrine used by seven households. We focused on fixing the most urgent issues that we could afford at the time.
Why Continued Support Is Critical
Small fixes make a difference, but they do not solve the problem completely. A fully renovated restroom would greatly improve hygiene, reduce health risks, and give all seven families the dignity they deserve. Your ongoing support can help us turn temporary relief into a lasting solution.
A Student-Led Promise
As students, we may not have much, but we bring commitment, transparency, and determination. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us get closer to completing what we started.
